Description

Our Disability Services Unit, operating under the Social Assistance Affairs Directorate, provides medical equipment support to people with disabilities in need. Between 2019-2021, we provided medical equipment support to a total of 2250 residents. We repair medical equipment for residents in need in cooperation with our Transportation Services Directorate. Between 2019-2021, we repaired and maintained a total of 275 manual and powered wheelchairs. With our 4 lift-equipped vehicles, we provide transport for residents with disabilities to hospitals and sociocultural activities. We organize special events and trips for residents and children with disabilities, engaging them in sociocultural activities. Some of these events include an outing to Kemerburgaz urban forest, hippotherapy (horse therapy), madame tussauds…
